Ara James is an author, an impostor, and an itinerant inhabitant of the Pacific Northwest. Thus far no one has been able to disprove that she is a transfigured marmot.

Ara started writing at the tender age of eight, penning classics such as “I Am So Alone,” and “I Have No Friends.” She began the cycle of workshopping and revision in high school, and may have peaked at nineteen, winning money and eternal acknowledgment on a webpage from a national arts organization. Nowadays she enjoys writing YA and NA novels and short stories centered on characters in settings and fields uncommon within these genres.
